Neurodiversity
Neurodiversity is the idea that variation in brain development and function should be appreciated and accepted as any other form of physical variation. This concept has been championed by people with developmental disabilities and their families, particularly in the autism community. We use the term broadly to characterize our research interests in the neural foundations for individual variation in perception and cognition. In addition, we are interested in how individual differences in neurobiology contribute to the effectiveness of intervention programs.
